Jamie Miller, Psy.D.
I have always been interested in psychology and appreciated how as individuals we each have a unique way in how we experience and feel. Becoming more aware of feelings and understanding how we cope is a first step towards greater peace and improved relationships.
Education and Experience
I graduated from Drexel University with a Bachelor of Science in 1985. Three years later, in 1988, I graduated from Villanova University, with a Master's degree in Counseling. Lastly, I earned my Psy.D. in 1999 from the Miami Institute of Psychology.

However, my greatest education has been my work experience. At the beginning of my career, I gained experience working in the field of addictions and eating disorders. After earning my doctoral degree, I began to focus on utilizing my knowledge of testing, first by assessing young children for developmental delays, followed by my work at All Kinds of Minds. I helped children understand their unique learning profile, by identifying their strengths and challenges and providing recommendations that utilize their strengths. My work with children expanded to also include adolescents while I worked at the Lucy Daniels Center where the focus was on emotional, behavioral, and social health through in-depth work, not only with the children but also with their caregivers.
My insight into the complexities of child development provides a deep understanding of how patterns and coping mechanisms get set in play as one continues to develop and transition into different stages of life.
