Dr Jamie Miller, PLLC

Welcome

I provide therapy for individuals of all ages and stages of life, with a specialization in child and adolescent therapy.
Whether you are seeking help for yourself, or your child, it is important to feel supported and understood. My approach is to work alongside you as we discover a window through which one can see more clearly and gain a better understanding of self by identifying feelings and recognizing patterns of behaviors.

For Parents

I applaud you for recognizing that your child needs help. There is a misconception that "they will grow out of it", but in reality, your child is coping and managing their feelings the best way they know how. Helping your child NOW, will not only make it easier for them to establish healthier coping strategies but will lead the way for more positive experiences. Learning how to identify and express oneself with words does not come naturally for everyone. Often children communicate through their actions. I help children and their parents understand the feelings underlying these behaviors. As children learn to communicate more effectively, they are better able to modulate their feelings, get the support they need, and feel better about themselves. As parents gain more insight into their child's behaviors, they gain more confidence in their parenting.
I provide therapy in-person, and virtually.
